Terms of Service

Effective July 27, 2026

1. Agreement

By applying to join, creating a school account, signing in to the portal, or using a public school website hosted on Presency Schools, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Presency Schools provides tools for school administration: public websites, admissions, student records, fees and payments, attendance, results, announcements, and related features. We may add, change, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

3. School accounts

  • The proprietor or authorized admin is responsible for their school’s account, staff access, and data entered on the platform.
  • You must provide accurate information when applying and keep contact details up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for actions taken under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or that pose security or abuse risk.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
  • Upload false student, parent, or financial records.
  • Harass, impersonate, or infringe the rights of others.
  • Attempt to bypass security, scrape data, or reverse engineer the service.
  • Resell or sublicense the platform without written permission from Presency.

5. Public school websites & admissions

Each school controls its public website content, admission forms, and communications with applicants. Schools are solely responsible for admissions decisions, fees they charge, and compliance with education and consumer laws in their jurisdiction.

Parents and applicants submit information directly to the school through forms hosted on Presency. Presency is not the admitting institution.

6. Payments & domains

Fee collections, acceptance fees, feeding top-ups, and shop payments are processed through Paystack. Schools set their own prices and refund policies unless otherwise agreed in writing with Presency.

Custom domains purchased through the platform are registered via our domain partners. Renewal, DNS, and continued use are subject to payment and our domain policies. Domain fees are generally non-refundable once registration is initiated.

7. Content & intellectual property

Schools retain ownership of content they upload (logos, photos, copy, documents). You grant Presency a limited license to host, display, and process that content solely to provide the service.

The Presency Schools platform, software, and branding remain Presency’s property. You may not copy or misuse our trademarks or code.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. Presency does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees paid to Presency for that school in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if no fees were paid, whichever is greater.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.

10. Contact & changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Questions: hello@presency.com. See our Privacy Policy.
